NRAEF Scholarships A Success
The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation sponsored 120 scholarships through the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) during the 2008-2009 school year. Each month, students in foodservice, culinary, and hospitality majors took online quizzes that tested their knowledge of the ManageFirst Program TM competency guides. A total of $60,000 was awarded to students over the course of the year.

Thanks so much for sponsoring this scholarship opportunity. I am a student at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Miami and I enjoyed competing in these monthly competitions. Even though I never won one of the scholarships, studying for it helped me review for class. I am a single mom studying to be a pastry chef with the hope of opening my own bakery someday and it is nice to know there are people and organizations out there that will sponsor these types of opportunities for students like me.
