Congratulations to Francesco Ferro the 2009 National FBI Scholarship winner. Francesco was awarded at his school, College Academy at Broward College, by Jeff Green, Community Outreach Coordinator from the Miami FBI office.  Francesco won the scholarship by reviewing the FBI.gov website and then taking a series of online quizzes about the FBI offered by the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation. Scholarship providers often work as volunteers. They volunteer their time to put together programs, read essays – sometimes hundreds – and review applications. This takes time, but they give this time because they want to help students financially by rewarding them in meaningful ways for a job well done, the job of being a student.
